A new elementary school gymnasium in the Crowley Independent School District needed a complete lighting and equipment control system. The gym required high bay LED lighting with multiple scene presets, motorized basketball backboard controls, exhaust fan controls, integration with WaveLinx CAT for centralized building management, and wall-mounted keypads at multiple entry points. No single manufacturer offered a panel that combined all of these functions.
The Solution
Nuvospec designed and built a custom solution featuring:
- WaveLinx CAT switch packs for lighting zone control
- Motor starters for basketball backboard hoists
- Exhaust fan relay controls
- Multi-button keypads at 4 entry locations (mapped to lighting scenes + equipment)
- Emergency override for fire alarm integration
- All in one large NEMA 1 enclosure with organized sections for power, controls, and low-voltage
